This 93 VR4 restoration project is moving along. We are just about ready for some new underbody coating and refreshed sub frames. We are also prepping to paint the engine bay back to factory spec. On top of all that, we dropped off the engine to be rebuilt today and tomorrow the oem wheels go out to be refinished.

We got our latest project vr4 up in the air today

We got our latest project vr4 up in the air today to see what it has and what it needs. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the short block is either a new oem unit, or rebuilt. It is equipped with a 2 bolt turbo block with a forged crankshaft. As we dig through the car, we will be able to confirm which it is. It is also sporting a set of rebuilt cylinder heads! Win!

We did install some wheels we had lying around. These tires actually hold air... another bonus!

When installing fuel pumps, it's very important to use the correct hose. You need one that is rated to be submersible in fuel. If you don't use the correct hose, this is exactly what happens. @tk91_stealth towed his vr4 into us to diagnose a no start issue. We quickly came to the conclusion that it was starving for fuel. After asking him about what fuel pump was in the car, we immediately thought that this hose was the issue.... and well would you just look at that!

There are times customers will come to us and then complain when they see our labor rate. What they don't realize is the time we will save you and that it will actually come out cheaper in the end. We have over 20 years of experience working on the same car every day! We have seen some shit! You're paying for that experience and not some general repair guy to figure it out.
