Description

Prothane has just release front control arm bushings for the Mitsubishi 3000GT and Dodge Stealth. These bushings fit models built from 10/93 – on. There was a change in the control arms in the middle of the 1994 model year. So, please check before ordering. If you have a model built before 10/93, you can still use the kit, but it will not replace the rear most (large) control arm bushing.

Replacing the old, worn out, rubber OEM bushings is a must! A good way to know if you need new bushings is to jack the car up and look at the control arm. The front most bushing is the biggest culprit. This bushing will start to walk its way out of the control arm. This allows the control arm to come in contact with the sub frame. This is, obviously, not a good thing.

The front most bushing can be removed from the control arm with just a hammer and a rod or 1/2″ drive extension. Just hold the rod/extension against the pin in the middle of the bushing and the bushing will just come right out. The rear most bushing (large one) just slides off of the control arm. The last bushing is in the bracket that goes around that large bushing. You can cut slits in it with a saw and hammer it out. Or you can use a press. To get the new bushing in, you can use your ┬áhands, or a vice.

*We currently have these bushings on order. They will ship asap.

Well I ordered these to help stiff up the front a bit. I am amazed they are great quality and great prices too. Can’t tell you how they perform but they are Bushings. Recommend these for people who want better control arm Bushings over stock. Shipping was fast and I had to wait a bit to get them in stock busy wasn’t bad at all. Glad they make these again for our cars.
